After Seoul I returned to my basecamp before mountain climbing in the countryside town, Hongseong. Haha the title is a pun. Sounds cool. But we really just walked up the road of the mountain.
People always say there is nothing to do here but we always manage to find something fun to do. Like that day we climbed the tallest mountain there and got some cool views before going to a University concert. I took a picture at the top of mountain of course. And knowing me, I took a picture of a big rock you guys. Lol.
Concert was cool because there was fire coming out of the stage.
I didn't know any of the performers except 정인 (that should be right). She's a famous singer who apparently is deaf in one ear but still has a nice voice.
In Seoul there was this movie set park we went to. Well it seemed that way.
Looked like every detail was planned out because it was so beautiful. Grass was nice and people were spreading blankets for picnics and having business meetings. Felt surreal in a way. I loved it, and we sat on a bench for a long time just enjoying the absolutely perfect weather.
The park is called 한강 or maybe 힌강..lol I'm forgetting now. Well anyways it is on this island called Yoido. I laughed when I heard that because I thought they said Oido, but then they said Oido is an island, just not this one. Haha oi means cucumber and do means island. So there is, sonewhere in Korea, a Cucumber Island. hahahah I was then corrected. Telling me it's the same word but in this case doest mean cucumber. But it's still funny. Cucumber island.
Also new shoes!
Also I donated that bag of clothes to charity because I bought too many new clothes in Seoul. lol

Sometime (lol I'll figure that out later) over the last weekend I went up to North Korea. It's actually pretty cool there and the people are nice. I love the food. Kim Jung Eun says he made North Korea Style to challenge the popular Gangnam style song.
I wonder if any of the dummies who asked me which Korea I was going to go believed that. Lol
So anyways we did go up North. To 임진각 (Imjingak..whatever) part of the border between the Koreas. So cool. I mean it wasn't the famous one where they stare at each other but nonetheless the background of those landscape shots is North Korea.
lol did I really just say that.
Anyway if you want me to bore you with historical facts and data blah blah go to Wikipedia.
The vehicles are American supplied for the war and I think those are legit. Didn't see the word replica anywhere. But then again idk that word in Korean yet so...
Well still, looked cool.
So there was however a shop selling North Korean money. Got some from 1947! How cool is that. Well, I think it is cool. Cooler than buying pens and soap and a towel..which I did.
They were cool pens.
